Breakfast

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but whoever coined that phrase clearly never had to choose between an extra hour in bed, and a bowl of muesli on a Saturday morning. For early risers, breakfast is a daily ritual – the comforting aroma of coffee, the crackle of toast, and the promise of a fresh start.Full English? Full-on saucy – but which is it … red or brown?

Whether you’re a dawn patrol devotee or a weekend lie-in enthusiast, breaking your overnight fast with a nourishing meal is one of the simplest pleasures in life.

From boosting energy and concentration to providing the perfect excuse to gather around a table with friends and family, breakfast or its laid-back cousin, brunch, deserves far more than a hurried bite on the go.Light & Healthy – Poached eggs over smashed avocado with a little Chilli Jam, or Red Onion Marmalade on toasted ciabatta.

Or try mixing our Real Mayonnaise with the crushed av. for an extra-smooth base for your egg.

Sir Winston Churchill’s Breakfast: Certainly NOT Light & Healthy – his breakfast would be consumed in bed, consisting of sausages and bacon, eggs and toast, orange juice and coffee.Whatever your best way to start the day – enjoy it more with Stokes!

Brunch

For those who prefer to greet the day at a more leisurely hour, brunch offers the best of both worlds – proof that humanity occasionally gets things exactly right.

Brunch invites us to linger over plates that are every bit as interesting as the conversation around them.

Across cultures, brunch has evolved into a celebration of comfort, indulgence and culinary creativity, offering dishes that can revive, satisfy and delight in equal measure.Take shakshuka, where eggs poach gently in a rich, spiced tomato sauce, delivering warmth, colour and a welcome kick-start to the day.

Add simple depth to the tomatoes and peppers by adding our Real or Bloody Mary Tomato Sauce. For those who like a bit of a kick, a dash of our Habanero HOT Sauce delivers every time.

RECIPE HERE.Sweden’s pytt i panna transforms humble leftovers into a golden skillet of crisp potatoes, meat and onions, providing hearty satisfaction with every bite.

It’s a fabulous way to use up leftovers. The dish translates as “small pieces in a pan” – and that’s exactly what it is.

Lots of leftovers or bits and pieces from the fridge, fried up in a pan.We are going to use the Pytt I Panna theme to use up some leftover roast lamb. It’s fun to cook and delicious to share with family and friends.

NOTE: It’s a favourite of our ‘Head Boy’ – Rick – as he loves making it, adding his own garden sweet Mint Sauce to bring the lamb back to delicious life. The family love it too.

RECIPE HERE. The French croque madame elevates the humble sandwich into a decadent affair of ham, cheese, béchamel and a perfectly placed egg, bringing unapologetic indulgence to the table.

It’s the addition of the egg that defines the ‘madame‘. No egg, and you have a mere croque monsieur.

RECIPE HERE.Meanwhile, kedgeree blends smoked fish, rice, eggs and fragrant spices into a dish that is at once comforting, elegant and surprisingly invigorating.

Andy created this Coronation Kedgeree dish as part of our celebrations for the Coronation of King Charles III. He (Andy) uses our Coronation Sauce to add amazing flavour to this elegant dish.

Together, these brunch favourites reveal why the meal has become such a beloved institution. It offers not merely sustenance, but the promise that the best part of the day may still be sitting on the plate in front of us.

Enjoy.

Lunch

We’re not suggesting for one minute that any of our Food Lovers would lie in ’till noon, but for many, lunch is that fast-breaking moment when first nourishment is taken.

You don’t want anything substantial that would just put you back to sleep. That would be a waste of the day.

But a light lunch hits the sweet spot. It’s enough to revive you, not so much as to derail you. Think of it as the midday pit-stop that keeps the engine humming.

Stokes’ range of sauces, condiments and relishes is bound to lift any simple lunch … just by being there.Take a ciabatta sandwich up to a continental deli variety, using rocket leaves, Italian ham, Gouda-style cheese, tomatoes and our Beetroot Relish – packed with crispy refreshing shards of earthy beetroot, steeped in a deliciously syrupy red wine sauce.

Let the sensations play.Coronation Chicken is a great sandwich filler and perfect in a jacket potato. But, don’t spend hours over the sauce, just spoon our Coronation Sauce over left-over chicken with a few fresh coriander leaves and enjoy!Brighten shop-bought fishcakes with the sunshine of Sicily, released as you unscrew the cap from our refreshing Sicilian Lemon & Dill Mayonnaise. No, we haven’t gone mad (yet), these are beans – our unique recipe for yummy Chilli Beans.

You’ll find the recipeHERE.

The combination of Stokes Real Tomato Ketchup and our Chilli Ketchup leaves a naturally deep, fresh tomato flavour with a gentle chilli finish.

While you’re making a sandwich, pop a handful of chips in the Air Fryer and treat yourself to a pub classic … at home: Sandwich, chips and a dip for table one please. This dip is a combination of Bloody Mary Ketchup and Real Mayonnaise.
