Administrator

We have an exciting  full-time opportunity for an experienced Administrator to work within our Technical department.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manger you will be responsible for providing effective administrative support and will have a keen eye for detail, like variety, work on your own initiative and thrive in working as part of a team within a busy environment.

General description of duties and responsibilities: –

  • Assist with the provision of information requested by customers, including questionnaires, specifications, and product specific information.
  • Administrate internal product specifications, and associated documentation forming part of the Quality Management System.
  • Assist with the completion of supplier, raw material, and packaging approval and risk assessment.
  • Assist with the administrative aspects of non-conforming product.
  • Provide support with the responses to customer complaints ensuring that the responses are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Identify trends and highlight any potential patterns or emerging developments during the handling of technical data.

 The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience: –

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • Flexible, able to move between and prioritise tasks with ease.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
  • Able to work autonomously and as a team member.
  • Previously worked within Food Manufacturing would be beneficial but is not essential.

Working Days and Hours:- Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm.

Salary and Benefits:-

  • Salary £22,000 – £24,000 per annum
  • 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and a day’s holiday for your Birthday, Contributory Company Pension, Life Insurance and staff discount.

Warehouse Operative - with Forklift License

An experienced full-time Warehouse Operative is required to join our small Warehouse team in rural Suffolk.

The duties include: –
INCOMING RAW MATERIALS

  • Receiving raw materials into the warehouse and carrying out the required checks
  • Completing all the associated paperwork on time and in line with quality procedures
  • Picking and supplying raw materials for the factory
  • Carrying out stock checks when required
  • Putting away raw materials

OUTGOING GOODS

  • Picking, packing and loading finished goods for customers
  • Putting away finished goods
  • Completing and accurately recording the required paperwork for the dispatch of finished goods

Working as part of a small team the ideal applicant will have: –

  • Previous warehouse experience.

The successful candidate will be: –

  • Computer skills are preferred
  • Have a good Attitude and is Reliable
  • Self-Motivated
  • An excellent communicator
  • Able to meet our stringent standards of quality and hygiene.
  • Being based in a rural location having your own transport is essential.

Hours of Work: 37½ hours per week, Monday through to Friday.
Shifts: 05:45 am to 2:00 pm and 1:45 pm to 10:00 pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Starting Salary £10.60 per hour dependent upon experience

Trainee Machine Operatives - starting rate of pay £10.30 per hour

As an ambitious team of individuals, we take pride in what we do and are firm believers in Taste, Quality and Responsibility.  We have some exciting opportunities for TRAINEE MACHINE OPERATORS to join the Production team to support our continued growth.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities: –

  • Trained to manufacture Stokes Sauces products to the correct formulisation and specification, whilst adhering to the companies’ policies and procedures.
  • Trained to operate production line machinery; the machinery includes, the cooking line, cold filling line, capping machine, sachet line, bucket line and/or the labelling line.
  • Assist in setting up the production line machinery for production recipes.
  • Carry out pre-checks and cleaning tasks on the production line.
  • Set up the batches of production as per the production plan.
  • Manual handling includes weighing and loading of raw materials into the vessels and stacking finished goods onto pallets.
  • Conduct Quality control checks and complete paperwork records.
  • Assist in size changeovers.
  • Operate a clean as you go approach.

 Required Experience & behaviours

  • Excellent attention to detail and reliability are essential.
  • A good team player with a ‘can do attitude’ are essential.
  • Literate and numerate to a standard which allows for accurate record keeping.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

  • Working Hours – 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of 5.45am – 2.00pm and 1.45pm – 10pm. (potential for night shift 10pm – 6am)
  • Starting hourly rate of Pay is £10.30 rising to £10.60 per hour when trained on multiple machines, 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and a day’s holiday for your Birthday, Company Pension and Life Insurance and staff discount.

Production Operatives with a starting rate of pay £9.50 per hour

Stokes Sauces, established in 2004 manufacture a unique range of award-winning Sauces, Mayonnaises, Condiments and Preserves from the Old Stables in Rendlesham.

As an ambitious team of individuals, we take pride in what we do and are firm believers in Taste, Quality and Responsibility.  We have some exciting opportunities for PRODUCTION OPERATIVES to join the Production team to support our continued growth.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities: –

  • Work in various parts of the production process to assist in the manufacture of Stokes Sauces products to the highest quality and hygiene standards.
  • Work at the end of the production line packing bottles and jars into boxes and stacking them onto pallets, to the correct configuration.
  • Work in the glass room feeding bottles and jars onto the line.
  • Conduct quality control checks and complete paperwork accurately as required.
  • Assist the Machine Operators during size changeovers and product cleans.
  • Operate a clean as you go approach, ensure that the highest standards of hygiene are always maintained.
  • Ensure that you comply with all the company standards, procedures, and practices.

Required Experience & behaviours

  • Previous experience as a Production Operative would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Team player with a ‘can do attitude’ is essential.
  • Literate and numerate to a standard which allow accurate record keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail and timekeeping.

We make all our of sauces at our ‘saucery’ on the Rendlesham Estate the heart of rural Suffolk. We now have a team of over 70, and In fact, some of us have been making sauce together for almost 20 years!
