Warehousing Manager

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Warehousing Manager based in Rendlesham, Suffolk.

Stokes Sauces operate in FMCG, manufacturing a range of premium Sauces, Mayonnaises, Condiments and Preserves.

We are expanding into a new warehouse and require someone with proven ability in running an efficient automated Warehouse Management System to join our team. This new position would be ideally suited to a candidate who has been working as a second in command in a warehouse and is eager to take the next step up the ladder assuming more responsibility and accountability.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and run an efficient and accurate WMS system and warehouse operation.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system.
  • Ensure efficient space layout and utilisation.
  • Plan efficient resources to meet demand, recruit, orientate, coach, and motivate the warehousing team.
  • Ensure cost-effective and efficient warehousing – inbound and outbound.
  • Maintain business systems and processes.
  • Ensure legal compliance and the Health & Safety of staff and the operation.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Required Experience & behaviours

  • An experienced Warehouse Manager preferably from an FMCG background
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems, software, and databases
  • Experienced leader of people, adept at motivating and managing a team.
  • Highly organised, with excellent critical thinking and analysis abilities.
  • Able to challenge accepted norms and enjoy creating new solutions with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience of system implementation and process improvement is advantageous.
  • NEBOSH and IOSH – warehouse equivalent in health & safety is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SAP b1 is an advantage

The successful candidate will need to be energetic, flexible, and eager to work with the Stokes Management Team to make improvements in a complex operations environment.

Picker Packer

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack internet orders, record Julienne codes on the picking sheets.
  • Label products as required.
  • Enter customer details onto the system, print and affix address labels.

  • Previous picking and packing experience

Hours, Pay and Benefits

  • Working hours are 8.30am – 4:45pm Monday – Friday, starting rate of pay is £9.10 per hour, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, an additional days holiday for your birthday, company pension and life insurance.

Skilled Machine Operatives

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating liquid filling, capping and labelling production line machinery.
  • Completing size changeovers and product cleans on the equipment.
  • Conducting Quality control checks and completing paperwork records.
  • Operating a clean as you go approach.
  • Ensuring you comply with all standards, procedures, and practices.

Required Experience & Behaviours

  • Previous experience as a machine operator or line setter or similar in an FMCG environment.
  • Team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Literate and numerate to a standard that allows accurate record keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

  • Working Hours37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of 5.45am – 2.00pm and 1.45pm – 10pm. (potential for night shift 10pm – 6am).
  • Starting rate of Pay is £9.67 rising to £10.20 per hour when trained, 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and a day’s holiday for your Birthday, Company Pension and Life Insurance.

Required Experience & Behaviours

  • Previous experience as a production line operator would be an advantage.
  • Team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Minimum basic level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Attention to detail.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

  • Working Hours – 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of 5.45am – 2.00pm and 1.45pm – 10pm. (potential for night shift 10pm – 6am).
  • Starting rate of Pay is £9.10, 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and a day’s holiday for your Birthday, Company Pension and Life Insurance.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check, unload, update system and put away incoming materials.
  • Manually pick materials for production and put away material returns from the factory.
  • Conduct stock counts and record results.
  • Operate a clean as you go approach.
  • Ensure you comply with all standards, procedures, and practices.

Required Experience & Behaviours

  • Counter Ballance FLT trained essential Flexi or Bendy FLT trained would be an advantage.
  • Team player with ‘can do attitude’.
  • Good levels of literacy, numeracy, and data entry IT skills.
  • Enjoy a warehouse role which involves an even mix of both inside and outside work.
  • Enjoy a warehouse role which involves an even mix of both on the truck and off the truck activity.

Since 2004, we have worked with a rare passion, to refine the taste, texture, and quality of ketchups, sauces, condiments, preserves, and mayonnaise. We make all our of sauces at our ‘saucery’ on the Rendlesham Estate the heart of rural Suffolk. We now have a team of over 70, and In fact, some of us have been making sauce together for almost 20 years! There really has never been a more exciting team to join the ambitious Stokes team, with brand new factory equipment, enabling is to double our capacity, exciting new upcoming product launches and we are actively working in more sectors than ever before!
