Business Support Coordinator

Situated near Woodbridge in rural Suffolk, Stokes Sauces manufacture a range of quality Sauces, Mayonnaises, Condiments and Preserves. We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Coordinator to join a growing business providing a range of support functions.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the order management and customers service processes, providing customers with an exceptional level of service by supporting business development and building loyalty to the Stokes Sauces brand.

General description of duties and responsibilities: –

  • Enter orders and sample requests onto the system
  • Provide support and manage documentation requests from the Sales team, with an emphasis on our export market
  • Order and despatch management including remote warehousing
  • Customer service including acknowledging and resolving customer complaints

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience:-

  • Possess excellent administration skills
  • Is a good communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Is well organised and responds well to working within a busy environment
  • Is a team player who is enthusiastic and has a can-do attitude

Working Days and Hours: – Monday – Friday, 8.30am- 5pm

Salary and Package

  • Salary £22k – £24k dependent on experience along with 22 days holiday plus bank holiday, pension, life insurance and your Birthday off as an additional day’s holiday.

Technical Compliance Officer

Based in Rendlesham, Woodbridge.

Stokes Sauces manufacture a range of award-winning quality Sauces, Mayonnaises, Condiments and Preserves.  We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Compliance Officer to join a growing business providing a range of support within the technical department.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager you will be responsible for the safety, legality, integrity, and quality of the product range from a compliance perspective.

Specific Duties:

  • Management of the Supplier and Raw Material Risk Assessment and Approval process.
  • Primary point of contact for customer specification activity.
  • Responsible for the generation and maintenance of Item Master Data and Bill of Materials within the SAP system.
  • Primary contact for the management of supply chain vulnerability and food defence, ensuring that risk assessments are completed at the required frequency.
  • Responsible for the ongoing management of product labelling.
  • Assist with maintaining the Quality Management System.
  • Perform a key role in the completion of internal audits

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience:-

  • Experience of working within a Food Manufacturing environment in a similar role.
  • Able to demonstrate proven experience in compliance management.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and legislative compliance.
  • A good communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • Well organised and responds well to working within a busy environment.
  • Team player who is enthusiastic and has a can-do attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Working Days and Hours – Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm

Salary and Benefits:  Salary £30K circa along with 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, contributory pension, life insurance, your Birthday off as an additional day’s holiday, staff discount.

Trainee Machine Operatives - starting rate of pay £10.30 per hour

Stokes Sauces, established in 2004 manufacture a unique range of award-winning Sauces, Mayonnaises, Condiments and Preserves from the Old Stables in Rendlesham.

As an ambitious team of individuals, we take pride in what we do and are firm believers in Taste, Quality and Responsibility.  We have some exciting opportunities for TRAINEE MACHINE OPERATORS to join the Production team to support our continued growth.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities: –

  • Trained to manufacture Stokes Sauces products to the correct formulisation and specification, whilst adhering to the companies’ policies and procedures.
  • Trained to operate production line machinery; the machinery includes, the cooking line, cold filling line, capping machine, sachet line, bucket line and/or the labelling line.
  • Assist in setting up the production line machinery for production recipes.
  • Carry out pre-checks and cleaning tasks on the production line.
  • Set up the batches of production as per the production plan.
  • Manual handling includes weighing and loading of raw materials into the vessels and stacking finished goods onto pallets.
  • Conduct Quality control checks and complete paperwork records.
  • Assist in size changeovers.
  • Operate a clean as you go approach.

 Required Experience & behaviours

  • Excellent attention to detail and reliability are essential.
  • A good team player with a ‘can do attitude’ are essential.
  • Literate and numerate to a standard which allows for accurate record keeping.

Hours, Pay & Benefits

  • Working Hours – 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of 5.45am – 2.00pm and 1.45pm – 10pm. (potential for night shift 10pm – 6am)
  • Starting hourly rate of Pay is £10.30 rising to £10.60 per hour when trained on multiple machines, 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and a day’s holiday for your Birthday, Company Pension and Life Insurance and staff discount.

Production Operatives with a starting rate of pay £9.50 per hour

As an ambitious team of individuals, we take pride in what we do and are firm believers in Taste, Quality and Responsibility.  We have some exciting opportunities for PRODUCTION OPERATIVES to join the Production team to support our continued growth.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities: –

  • Work in various parts of the production process to assist in the manufacture of Stokes Sauces products to the highest quality and hygiene standards.
  • Work at the end of the production line packing bottles and jars into boxes and stacking them onto pallets, to the correct configuration.
  • Work in the glass room feeding bottles and jars onto the line.
  • Conduct quality control checks and complete paperwork accurately as required.
  • Assist the Machine Operators during size changeovers and product cleans.
  • Operate a clean as you go approach, ensure that the highest standards of hygiene are always maintained.
  • Ensure that you comply with all the company standards, procedures, and practices.

Required Experience & behaviours

  • Previous experience as a Production Operative would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Team player with a ‘can do attitude’ is essential.
  • Literate and numerate to a standard which allow accurate record keeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail and timekeeping.

We make all our of sauces at our ‘saucery’ on the Rendlesham Estate the heart of rural Suffolk. We now have a team of over 70, and In fact, some of us have been making sauce together for almost 20 years! There really has never been a more exciting team to join the ambitious Stokes team, with brand new factory equipment, enabling is to double our capacity, exciting new upcoming product launches and we are actively working in more sectors than ever before!
