Stokes Food Processing & Efficiency Project

  BACK

An investment for the future

The aim of this project is to increase our capacity to meet high demand by investing in food processing and product packing equipment.

It is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development as well as a funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

The funding has been used to install new machinery including a steam cooking system, labelling machine, capping machine helping us to launch our new recyclable packaging option.

The investment will help us create 10 new jobs over the next 12 months, whilst we meet the demands of the growing business now exporting to over 60 countries worldwide and supplying the likes of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Virgin Atlantic and the Cornish Bakery group.

Stokes commercial director, Chris Reeve, said the new recyclable ‘squeezy’ bottles had been very well received, tapping into customer demand for convenience.

“This range was made possible due to our new processing plant, which has doubled our capacity by improving efficiency and production, as well as helping us add a range of new flavours to our product range”.
